Born with Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy is a condition caused by damage to the brain, usually occurring before, during or shortly after birth. "Cerebral" refers to the brain and "palsy" to the disorder of movement or posture. Cerebral Palsy may also result from an accident in childhood, lead poisoning, viral infection, child abuse, or other factors.
It is not "curable" in the accepted sense, although education, therapy and applied technology can help persons with cerebral palsy lead productive lives. It can range from mild to severe. Some are fully dependant on others even for their basic needs like attending to nature’s call, bathing, feeding, and moving around while others are able to walk, follow basic instructions and even communicate clearly.
